Avril Lavigne, 'Here's to Never Growing Up' Certified Gold Digital Track Headlined MTV's Buzzworthy Studio

Punk princess Avril Lavigne created a facebook status today about her golden new song "Here's to Never Growing Up."

"Here's to Never Growing Up" is the hit single from the Canadian signer's album which was released in April 2013.

Lavigne's song headlined MTV's Buzzworthy's Studio with the acoustic version of "Here's to Never Growing Up."

"The song's obviously about not wanting to grow up and being young forever. It's a state of mind," Lavigne told MTV about her new track. "I guess I'm the same [since "Complicated"]. I'm just older -- so, [I'm] a little more grown up. Same person, same personality."

Lavigne's fiancé, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, cowrote the catchy song.

"Well, we met working on this record and were working on a few songs together. We were all sitting around with acoustic guitars, and I wanted to write something fun. I didn't want to write something serious. I wanted it to be a summer song. It was very nostalgic. We were all just sitting around talking about things we liked to do [when we were growing up]," said Lavigne according to buzzworthy.mtv.com.
