As Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, prepares for the birth of her first child and the future heir to the thrown, all eyes are on the young royal in many different ways. One specific way that we see the 31-year-old mother-to-be is in terms of fashion, which is a subject Kate knows plenty about. So when designers and others criticize the wife of Prince William's style, it usually is not too serious and more like helpful tips to improve her already great sense of style. For instance, designer Roberto Cavalli feels that the Duchess should be sexier even though she is in her eighth month of her pregnancy.
"A princess should be sexy," Roberto told British Vogue. "She is young, she is beautiful - I would like to create something special for her, but nothing too bold. I would like to prove to the world that Roberto Cavalli can dress a princess. Maybe I would use a print, keeping it young, sophisticated and sexy. Just because you are a queen or princess it doesn't mean you can't be sexy."
The legendary Italian designer has dressed some of the world's most famous females over his illustrious 40-year career in fashion. As you can see, he wants to add the Duchess to that list though understands that this ambition most likely will not be fulfilled.
When asked about his favorite British celebrity to work with, he said, "Victoria Beckham - she is in my heart."
Would you like to see a sexier Duchess of Cambridge?
In terms of her actual due date, reports have claimed that the birth will take place anywhere between mid-July all the way up to August. There has yet to be an official due date given by the palace, so right now all we can do is go on these reports. But we do know that Kate plans to take a maternity leave of absence from her royal duties starting June 15, leaving about a month of time to prepare for her delivery.
Her last official public appearance before the birth will be the annual Trooping the Colour. This is an event celebrating the Queen's birthday and will be held on her last day before her maternity leave.
