Kanye West has been steadily debuting music off Yeezus live to build anticipation for his new album and the Governor's Ball on Sunday was no exception. Ye through the new track "Onsite" into the 90-minute set. Check out the video below:
Looks like someone's happy Nine Inch Nails is returning. The song out with a round of electro distortion before solidifying into the type of industrial groove that'll have folks dancing by themselves in gas masks and bondage pants in no time.
The heavy rhythm section drops out for a flash of old-school Kanye soul-sampling before diving back into the mix headlong.
While news around Yeezus has been hard to come by, folks are speculating that this track may be a part of the Daft Punk collaboration. We previously revealed that "Black Skinhead" was the work of the robots but, If this list of production credits is legitimate, Thomas Bangalter had his hands all over this new track.
Kanye also performed "I Am A God", "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" at the festival-closing show.
I think it's safe to say that Yeezy's new album may be a bit of a downer, you guys.
Yeezus drops June 18.
