Kacey Musgraves New Album UPDATE: 'Same Trailer Different Park' Rave Reviews

Since its release on March 19, 2013, there have been mixed reviews about the Kacey Musgraves album, Same Trailer Different Park. So far the different organizations have given it different reviews.

National Public Radio calls the album an, "Anomoly... she fits most easily into the contemporary "country" category, but the work she co-writes with a variety of collaborators is really a throwback to an earlier era of singer-songwriters - as much influenced by rock and folk as by country."

I think most would agree with the above review. The new music is definitely showing some older traits. Country music fans agree that contemporary country does not mean it needs to lose its roots. Take Blake Shelton for example, his music does the same, the writing reflects old country ties while the beat and the sound make it more contemporary.

Amazon.com does more of a overview than a review, but the idea is still there, "Kacey Musgraves tells it like it is.

After listening to Same Trailer Different Park, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter's first album for Mercury Records, it's clear that this is a girl who has something to say. A true language artist, Kacey nimbly spins webs of words to create the quirky puns, shrewd metaphors, and steely ironies that fill the record."

With all of the reviews in, it is easy to see there aren't too many who dislike this album. In fact, I wouldn't doubt this album does very well in the future. Country fans are looking forward to a release of her next piece of work.
