The Jonas Brothers have finally announced the second single off their upcoming fifth studio album. The follow up to their return single "Pom Poms" will be "First Time," the boys said today via their Twitter.
Along with the revelation of their second single and its artwork, the group disclosed that they will be hosting a Twitter chat on Monday, June 17, at 7 p.m. EST via the hashtag #JBFirstTime. The live chat will follow Nick Jonas co-hosting the Miss USA pageant alongside Giuliana Rancic on Sunday (June 16).
Shortly after the JoBros made the announcement about the official release of "First Time," a studio version of the long-performed song leaked on YouTube. Listen to the leaked version of the new song below:
The mid-tempo track begins with a backbeat of electronic grooves, as the boys quietly croon over the winding, disco-like music. The chorus packs a punch with strong vocals full of emotion. The song then builds into a high-energy, celebratory number. It's a strong second single for the band, who are returning to the music scene after a three-year long hiatus.
Fans can look forward to hearing more from the band during their Twitter chat Monday. The group has teased "BIG news" about their upcoming single.
Perhaps a release date or an official album name will be announced then, too?
Until then, fans can be held over with the official video for the boys' first single in years "Pom Poms." Tickets are also available for the Jonas Brothers' upcoming summer tour at https://events.jonasbrothers.com/tour-dates. The 27-stop tour will kick off July 10 in Chicago and go through mid-August.
