One of the most anticipated albums of the year, Kanye West's sixth solo effort Yeezus is still unheard by the masses. The CD, due out next Tuesday (June 18) has yet to leak online. This is a peculiar occurrence in the leak-friendly Internet age.

Yeezus - which is expected to sell upwards of 500,000 copies in its first week - is the long-awaited follow up to West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. After West has teased tracks like "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" on Saturday Night Live and at live performances, fans are antsy for official studio recordings of the songs and to listen to the album in its full, finished form.

A Twitter account has even been created to track whether or not 'Ye's new album has leaked, @HasYeezusLeaked.

Though the record is only four days away from coming out, it shows no signs of leaking. According to Buzzfeed, West and co. have figured out a formula for keeping a hot record under wraps until release day.

West was purposefully discrete when recording Yeezus, opting for small studios in hotel rooms to keep everyone not involved in making the record out of the process. West also avoided storing his work on laptops, instead opting for password-protected external hard drives in locked briefcases.

Songs in production were never sent between West's camp online. This is a famously insecure way to transfer works-in-progress, as West learned during the making of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Post-production, West kept his album from being mastered until just this week, in order to keep it to himself for as long as possible.

After this process, CDs will be kept in a secure plant and shipped to large chains, where the sealed boxes are under constant video surveillance.

Keeping Yeezus leak-free has been helped by not allowing pre-orders or presales on the album. iTunes preorders are notable for getting hacked and leaked. According to Buzzfeed, releases from The National and Daft Punk have been prematurely heard due to this process in the last month.

This formula has been successful for West in the past. His collaboration with friend Jay-Z, Watch the Throne, is infamous for not leaking before its due date.

So, fans can follow @HasYeezusLeaked all they want, but it looks like the release will be sealed tight until June 18.
