On "Love and Hip Hop ATL" episode 9 Joseline received the shock of her life when Stevie J tells her she no longer has a major recording deal, Kirk gets it handed to him by Rasheeda's mother after she calls him out abut cheating, and Mimi and Niko seem to be officially over after Stevie J buys her a luxury car.
This season has to be the most intense season out of the "Love and Hip Hop" franchise. In epsidoe 8, Joseline said she was through with Stevie J because of his cheating ways and no longer wanted to work with him. Off camera Stevie J explained that the recording deal fell through because the label wanted a lot of the money that Joseline earned. Although, Stevie J was looking out for the Puerto Rican rapper, he played it as if he broke off the deal because she broke up with him to prove a point.
Rasheeda's mother, Shirlene took matters in her own hands after her daughter told her that Kirk wanted her to get an abortion. Momma Shirlene was not having it and insinuated that he probably was having an affair. In a private meeting, Kirk met up with his mother-in-law and immediately things got heated. Shirlene began screaming at him, which caused Kirk to exit the building.
K. Michelle may have changed her aggressive ways after having a meeting with her record executives about cleaning up her brand. The singer agreed and wanted to start off fresh by mending things with Karlie Redd. Even though, things seemed amicable at first, Karlie Redd presented K. Michelle with a diss record as a birthday gift at the club. K. Michelle didn't lose her cool because she had already heard about the record during their brief meeting, but K. Michelle quickly lost her cool when Karlie mentioned her mentor R. Kelly urinating on her in the record. Drinks were thrown, but the two still managed to remain friends after the brief altercation, hugging it out outside of the club.
Mimi seems to be over Niko's cheap ways after he bought her a matching Rolex without diamonds. Mimi expressed to him that it's not matching if he has diamonds and she doesn't. During Niko's video release party, Mimi invited Stevie J and in a Stevie J fashion, he one up Niko by buying his baby's mother a luxury car. Niko was infuriated and the bickering between Stevie and him began with no fists thrown.
In an interview with MStars News, Mimi was asked if she thought Stevie was using her and she replied, "I don't think Niko was using me. If you ask me everyone's an opportunist. Everyone in this world is an opportunist and if you're not then something may be wrong. I don't think he [Niko] was using me. He was trying to get what he was trying do at the forefront, and I don't blame him. I would of done the same thing if I was him. Joseline was doing it to Stevie. Everyone was doing it so, it is what it is."
