In a new interview with GQ Magazine, rapper Drake opened up a bit about his ongoing feud with singer Chris Brown. Last year the two had an altercation in a club where bottles were thrown, which injured Brown and other patrons including NBA star Tony Parker. The young performers are both part of an ongoing lawsuit stemming from the incident that was reportedly due to an argument centered on pop star Rihanna. Now Drake has addressed this topic in his new cover story interview.
"I don't want my name to be synonymous with that guy's name. I really don't," Drake told the magazine. "It's embarrassing, the amount of media coverage. Two rappers fighting over the woman. He's not even a rapper, but still, it's the last way you want your name out there."
"If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly," Drake confessed.
Despite discussing this negative aspect of his life, Drake also opened up to GQ about love and romance.
"I've made a lot of music about love being the only thing I'm missing," Drake said. Luckily, he got some perspective after sharing a meal and conversation with his Hollywood role model, actor Will Smith.
"I had lunch with Will Smith, and listening to him talk, it made me think I don't know what love is ... He said love is when you become one and you need that person. It's not about wanting anymore, you need that person. Hearing that, I don't know if I've ever felt that way," the 26-year-old superstar shared.
Trouble in the romance department? There's always Amanda Bynes, right? Either way, Drake is going to be busy with his recently announced 41-city North American tour this year.
