NBC concluded Season 4 of "The Voice" with its final broadcast Tuesday night. Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers waited anxiously, along with the viewers at home, to find out who would take home the crown.
But before the announcement came two hours of memories, guest performances and surprises. The three (or four, technically) finalists even received new cars, a first for Danielle.
Guest singers ranged from former/future "Voice" judge Christina Aguilera to Bruno Mars to Cher. Of course, Twitter exploded at the cuteness of Danielle Bradbery and Hunter Hayes' performing together on stage.
And in the final few minutes, host Carson Daly announced the results:
3rd place: The Swon Brothers
2nd place: Michelle Chamuel
1st place: Danielle Bradbery
The results were not particularly surprising but a Michelle win and second place finish for Danielle would not have been a complete shock, either. The Swon Brothers seemed like a lock for third place no matter what.
Blake Shelton coached Danielle well throughout the season. He played it safe and let her natural country vocals carry her all the way to the top. She never really stretched outside her comfort zone, but she also never really needed to do so.
Michelle showed much more versatility and range throughout Season 4, and with Usher's backing, she could have a bright career ahead of her. Their relationship was one of the most interesting parts of the season, so hopefully it does not end now that it has come to a close.
