Industrial band Nine Inch Nails announced the tracklist and credits for its upcoming album "Hesitation Marks."
The album, due out on Sept. 3 from Columbia Records, will feature 14 new tracks from Trent Reznor and his coterie of musical friends. The list, released to Rolling Stone, showed that new single "Came Back Haunted" will be the third track on the album. Reznor, the commander and chief behind Nails, announced earlier this week that director David Lynch would handle responsibility for the single's music video.
There wasn't any new music to go along with the tracklist, but the announcement did provide a list of credits and additional musicians, which may provide an idea of what fans can expect.
Some of the information won't be surprising for Nails fans: The album was produced by Reznor and his longtime collaborator and Rob Sheridan handled the album's art, as he has for nearly every Nails release since 1999. Some of the bigger-name musicians involved with the recording include Lindsey Buckingham, the longtime guitarist of band Fleetwood Mac, and Adrian Belew, guitarist and vocalist from King Crimson. Belew was in the news earlier this month when he withdrew from Nails' touring band.
"Hesitation Marks" is the second release from Reznor in 2013. His side project "How To Destroy Angels" released its debut in March. The band hasn't released any plans for a full-out tour, but so far has announced dates playing at Chicago's Lollapalooza musics festival the Fuji Rock Festival in Naeba, Japan, and the Outside Lands Music and Art Festival in San Francisco.
