Justin Bieber and his monkeying around meant that one pilot had to wait for eight hours at a Miami airport before taking off. Or, more accurately, the monkeying around of Bieber's monkey led to the extended delay.
Bieber's private plane was originally scheduled to take off at 11 a.m. but the pop star didn't show up until 3 p.m. Upon arrival, Bieber somehow just then realized that he didn't have his pet monkey. The "Believe" singer then, again reportedly, chartered a helicopter to avoid traffic while traveling back to West Palm Beach to retrieve the primate. Eventually the plane left at 7 p.m. for Burbank, CA. No one could confirm whether the monkey had been found.
It's not the first time that Bieber has made headlines for miscues with his monkey. The singer's last primate pet, Mally, was left in Germany because the star didn't fill out the right paperwork to transfer a live animal out of the country (the monkey was reportedly re-homed in Germany). Bieber didn't seem too sentimental when replacing Mally, so if the new monkey has been lost, it doesn't lool like it's too hard to find another one (where does somebody find that many monkeys? This is a serious question).
If Bieber did find the missing monkey, hopefully he'll make sure he has the right paperwork on hand when he travels to Australia this fall for upcoming "Believe" tour dates. The tour's schedule, announced Thursday, is below.
