Arcade Fire New Album Release Date Revealed, September 9

Grammy-winning rock band Arcade Fire have been rather quiet on the subject of thier new album. However, one thing we have learned is that the as-yet-unnamed project has a release date. The follow up to 2010's  The Suburbs will hit shelves on September 9 (presumably with a title, track list, cover art and everything else).

Arcade Fire have long been critical darlings but caused a bit of confusion in early 2011 when they won the Grammy for Best Album. A tumblr dedicated to the confused reaction of people who'd never heard of the band (called "Who Is Arcade Fire?") went viral shortly after the Grammy telecast.

Presumably, more people will have heard of the band by the time thier new album drops in September.
