'Beyond Sight': Inspirational Movie Soundtrack To Feature Audio Adrenaline's New Song, 'Believer' [Watch Trailer]

'Beyond Sight,' an upcoming inspirational movie about a young man named Derek Rabelo, a blind surfer who lives by faith rather than by sight, is set to feature Audio Adrenaline's new song, 'Believer' on its soundtrack. The new film is expected to be in theaters on March 14, 2014.

The film documents the amazing story of Derek Rabelo, a native to Guarapari, Brazil, and his journey to become an inspiration to surfers and believers around the world. His father had prayed that his son would become a professional surfer some day, but when Derek was born blind, it seemed like an impossible dream.

However, at age 17, Derek decided that he wanted to surf, despite his blindness. With the encouragement of his parents, best friend and surf coach, Derek experienced three years of vigorous mental, physical and spiritual training in order to try and prepare himself to surf Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu.

Through his faith and perseverance Derek has inspired some of the best pro-surfers in the world, including Kelly Slater, Damien Hobgood, Rob Machado, Lakey Peterson, Taj Burrow, Laird Hamilton and more, who are featured in the film alongside Derek.  'Beyond Sight' features Derek conquering multiple surf spots around the world alongside these and other surfing pros. The surf spots that they hit include Malibu and the Lowers Hurley Pro in California and Spirit de Santos, Derek's hometown in Brazil, among others.

'Beyond Sight' gives the audience insight into the difficulties that Derek had to face in the journey toward learning how to surf blind. The film captures the amazing experiences of Kelly Slater and Lakey Peterson as they take on the challenge of trying to surf blindfolded, as well as Derek learning to paddle board, successfully surfing Pipeline twice, tandem surfing with Rob Machado, and more.

'Beyond Sight' has been financially supported by the Kickstarter program and is currently in the production stage. They were able to raise $89,075 in only a 30-day period back in December of 2012.

The film is being produced by 'Walking On Water Films,' a successful non-profit organization founded by Bryan Jennings in the mid-90s, that proves the premier production company behind faith-based action sports movies. WOW films is most well-known for their production of the 2007 documentary, 'Heart of a Soul Surfer,' the story of Bethany Hamilton that was later made into a successful film through SONY Pictures.

The inspirational story of Derek and his faithful journey toward surfing success is accentuated by Audio Adrenaline's 'Believer,' a song that emphasizes the idea of being fearless in faith. This song was actually written for the film itself and appeared on Audio Adrenaline's most recent album, 'Kings & Queens.'
