If you like your fart jokes and slapstick with a nice dose of electronic high drama, you're in for a treat. According to the Farrelly Brothers, their upcoming, long-awaited sequel to Dumb and Dumber, Dumb and Dumber To, will be scored by Australian electronic collective Empire of The Sun.

"Here's a review of the new Empire of the Sun album," wrote the Farrellys. "They'll be scoring Dumb and Dumber To!"
Consequence of Sound points out that the Farrellys and the Aussie bleep-bloopers have a previous connection:
If you're into meek post-2000s escapist humor, then you probably enjoyed 2011′s Hall Pass. The Farrelly Brothers' return-to-form starred Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate, and the regular batch of Rhode Island regulars, but also sported a hip indie soundtrack that included Röyksopp, Lissie, Deer Tick, Akron/Family, Black Mountain, Spoon, and Empire of the Sun. The latter's dreamy single, "Walking on a Dream", was the film's "theme song", if you will.
The sequel already has original stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels signed on to star (the less said about the Carrey-Daniels-less film Dumb and Dumberer, the better).
Hopefully, Carrey will make it all the way to the film's premiere before openly trashing it.
