Fans of David Lynch's work ("Twin Peaks," Mulholland Drive, etc.) know that music has always been a huge influence and passion for the visionary writer and director. When he released his 2011 debut album, Crazy Clown Time, people were given the first taste of Lynch's musical original musical vision. Now with The Big Dream hitting stores on July 16, 2013, on Sacred Bones records, Lynch has been sharing newer songs. We have heard two tracks off of the 12-track record so far: "Star Dream Girl" and "I'm Waiting Here" featuring Lykke Li. Today Lynch has shared a new track, "Are You Sure."

In a press release, Lynch described the music of the album as "modern blues" and added, "Most of the songs start out as a type of blues jam and then we go sideways from there. What comes out is a hybrid, modernized form of low-down blues."
The Big Dreams will feature 11 original songs, plus a cover of Bob Dylan's "The Ballad of Hollis Brown."

Check out the album's bonus track, featuring Lykke Li below. Lynch said of Lykke Li in a press release, "She brought her own style to this song, which has a doo-wop sort of thing going on, but in a way it's far-removed from the 50s."
