'Breaking Bad' Murder [VIDEO]: Washington Man Inspired by Season 1 Episode of AMC's Hit Series in Girlfriend Killing

27-year-old Nine Mile Falls, Washington, resident Jason Hart has been arrested on second-degree murder charges in the killing of his girlfriend Regan Jolley. Despite this already being a harrowing story, details of the murder make it even more terrible. According to Hart's roommate, Dean Settle, Jolley's naked body was found in a tub of acid with a DVD of a season 1 episode of AMC's show Breaking Bad queued up on Hart's television. The episode in question (entitled "Cat's in the Bag") features a scene with a dead body in a tub full of acid, leading to the claim that Hart was inspired by the show when trying to dispose of the body.

In this episode of the Emmy Award-winning series, Walt (Bryan Cranston) tells Jesse (Aaron Paul) to eliminate the corpse of a rival drug dealer in a plastic tub full of hydrofluoric acid. Unfortunately, Jesse uses a regular tub instead, and the rest of the story can be explained in the following clip from "Cat's in the Bag":

"The only thing I know or feel about it - that was his favorite series," Settle explained. "That's what he told me. I think he used it as instructions to go do what he was doing to dispose the body."

Hart's wife, Jessica, revealed that she had left her husband recently, taking her two kids with her after his drug use became a problem. She also said that he was suffering from PTSD after returning from Iraq, making him "a completely different person."

Hart was arrested and charged but has pleaded not guilty in the murder of Regan Jolley.
