Fox has set the premiere date for Season 3 of its reality singing competition "The X Factor" and the Simon Cowell show will premiere in two parts.
Part one will debut on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. for one hour, while part two will air the following night (Thursday, Sept. 12) in a two-hour broadcast.
Big changes are in store for "The X Factor" in Season 3. Khloe Kardashian has been released as a host of the show but Mario Lopez will return in that capacity.
The FOX network officially confirmed in May the rumors that Grammy winner and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland would join the judges' panel along with Mexican artist Paulina Rubio.
Rowland and Rubio will join returning judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato.
Fox released a statement on its website and dubbed the new panel "The Beauties and The Brit."
"It's taken more than a decade but I'm delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!)," Cowell said in the statement. "Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different."
Rowland, who judged Season 8 of the UK version of "The X Factor," spoke with enthusiasm about her new job.
"I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and 'The X Factor' family," Rowland said. "It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the States!"
Rubio, too, cannot wait to get started.
"I love 'The X Factor!' I can't wait to find the next big music star here in America," Rubio said. "I'm so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge. Simon, be careful what you wish for, let's see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!"
Rowland and Rubio replace Britney Spears and L.A. Reid, who departed the show after Season 2.
