Veronica Mars Movie News: Kickstarter Funded Movie Set Photos Emerge, Kristen Bell’s Veronica Mars’ Boyfriend Revealed

Set photos from the Veronica Mars movie have surfaced and the pictures reveal the identity of Kristen Bell's titular character's boyfriend.

It appears from the pictures that Veronica is once again dating Piz (Chris Lowell), her boyfriend from the third and final season of the show. TVLine posted a photo of the two in coats with bags slung over their shoulders.

Series creator and movie leader Rob Thomas said in March that Veronica would be dating someone other than Jason Dohring's Logan Echolls, her on-again, off-again love interest from throughout the series.

The website Buzzsugar has released more than 20 set photos from the movie, which raised more than $5.7 million on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter.

The film is set at Veronica's 10-year high school reunion. Dohring's character is central to the film's plot as Veronica gets sucked into a murder mystery that involves Logan's girlfriend, a pop star.

Other original cast members in the movie include Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorino, Enrico Colantoni, Francis Capra, Krysten Ritter and Ryan Hansen.

Other returning cast members include Brandon Hillock (Deputy Sacks), Kevin Sheridan (Sean Friedrich), Jonathan Chesner (Corny), Christine Lakin (Susan Knight), Amanda Noret (Madison Sinclair) and Sam Huntington (Luke Haldeman).
