Alyssa Milano used the media to get back into the headlines this week. The actress dropped more than a few jars when she appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine's July issue

Maxim, known for its racy covers, features the 40 year-old actress wearing a blue flannel shirt, unbuttoned, with nothing underneath. Although many picked up a copy just for the pictures, an accompanying article discussed Milano's career (for those willing to look at words and not just Milano posing).

The actress discussed her upcoming ABC drama, "Mistresses," which sounds like exactly the kind of thing that readers of Maxim want to hear about, but much of the conversation focused on Milano's first gig: "Who's The Boss." The actress played the daughter of star Tony Danza. Milano discussed the awkwardness of being a child actor and the changes that came along with it.

"I went through puberty like everyone else," she said. "It only got embarrassing when the show would take what was going on with me and write it into the show, like 'Samantha's First Bra.'"

Milano has maintained a active career in between "Who's The Boss" and "Mistresses." A rival for her role as Samantha Micelli for her most famous role, Milano starred as Phoebe Halliwell on the Warner Brothers show "Charmed." The struggles of former child actresses such as Amanda Bynes was another talking point during the interview. Milano says it was tough for kids to adjust into becoming adult actors.

"That was an era when TV child actors just didn't work after their show was over," she said. "I think Christina Applegate and I are the only two who maintained some sort of career path past the shows that launched us."
