Thousand Foot Krutch will be releasing the EP of the second Volume in it's 'Metamorphosiz The End Remixes,' exclusively to digital retailers on July 2.
The EP will feature six remixed tracks all from the band's 2012, five-star rated and No. 1 selling Billboard Hard Rock album, 'The End Is Where We Begin.' It was remixed by renowned remix talents, Robbie Bronnimann (Nicki Minaj, Chicane), Andy Hunter (The Matrix: Reloaded, The Italian Job, ABC's Alias), Solomon Olds (Family Force 5, Newsboys), Rui Da Silva and Joshua Silverberg.
It follows the successful first volume, which was released in December, 2012, and saw No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Albums chart during its first week out. In addition, Volume I, inspired ESPN2 to consider using remix tracks, 'War Of Change,' 'We Are' and 'Let the Sparks Fly' on its show 'First Take.' Now, with the upcoming Volume 2 EP, ESPN is considering placements of the new tracks for NASCAR coverage.
Remixers, Bronnimann, Hunter and Olds were all featured in the Volume I EP and returned to do the second. Bronnimann worked on popular singles, 'Fly On The Wall' and 'Be Somebody.' Hunter and Olds worked on the tracks, 'Down' and 'The End I Where We Begin.' Meanwhile, Silva took on 'Courtesy Call' while Silverberg worked on 'So Far Gone,' the band's current Top 10 hit-single. "This is a very intimate song. It's a love song, and my way of saying, 'I can't get enough of you,'" says TFK frontman Trevor McNevan, according to CM Spin. "It's a worship song to me. There's not a day in my life when I don't need God more and want to get closer."
The full 'Metamorphosiz II The End Remixes Vol. 2' track list will be as follows [According to CM SPIN]:

The album from which the songs are remixed, 'The End Is Where We Begin,' has been extremely successful and is different from material TFK has produced in the past. "The End Is Where We Begin summarizes everything we've been through as a band, and where we are now- the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another," said front man, Trevor McNevan, according to the band website. "We've been through every transition you could face as a band in the past year, aside from the band line up, and our entire team couldn't be more excited. Against all odds, not to mention some pretty lucrative record contracts, we're following what we feel is the right thing for us to do, and at the end of the day, that's our responsibility. We're very thankful to have the support and trust we do with our audience; they're as much a part of our team, as anyone else. We're growing together, and look forward to each new step we take together."
The one word that McNevan would use to describe the album would be 'uninhibited,' he said, according to the website. "From the beginning, the architecture of this record was different from the others. I knew this one was something special when I felt the need to go back- back to just sitting on the bed with a guitar with no outside voices- and being inspired by just the simple possibilities. The past songs and records have always been honest- that's something very true to our hearts as musicians and always will be- but this was something different. There's something that happens when you turn the sound down and just listen. I'll never forget those moments."
This album is an accumulation of the band's past experiences leading up to their present state. It was the precursor for everything that follows, including the remixed EPs that have already been so successful. "I think this is a step forward in a new and inspired direction for us musically and as a band," McNevan said on the band website. "It's everything we could've hoped for and we're excited to head into this season. Sometimes we need to go back to go forward and remember where we came from, which connects on a lot of different levels. We hope to keep making music that's honest to us and continue to grow together with our audience."
Thousand Foot Krutch is set to tour throughout the summer and make appearances as various summer music festivals, including Lifest, Promise Land Music Festival, Spirit West Coast, Rock The Desert, ArtsQuest, Kingdom Bound, Awaken, Lifelight, Six Flags Mountain Magic, Rock The Border and more. They were expected to perform at Kings Fest and Spirit Song today and tomorrow but those performances have been canceled, according to the band website.
