Paula Deen has been let go after the chef's use of the "N" word was unveiled. She has since made an apology and has appeared on talk shows to address the issue. The public seems to have responded in a different way than one might expect.

Cookbook sales have gone up since the incident was brought to light. More specifically, Paula Deen's cookbook sales are through the roof. It seems like more than pure coincidence that her cookbook sales would rise around the same time she is suddenly in the press for such bad PR.

This begs the question, is ANY press GOOD press? Would her sales have increased the same if the story was about her doing something heroic? It is hard to tell, but if you all have an opinion about that we would love to hear what you have to say. Leave a comment below this story and tell us what you think.

The sales of her cookbooks have increased so much, even on one she is still working on, that she has now breached the top sellers list on amazon.com. If you were to search on Amazon right now, at 9:30 a.m. central time, you would see her cookbook New Testament right next to Dan Brown's Inferno.

If you click on the book and read the reviews, you won't see a whole lot of reviews about the book. They are more reviews about Deen. Some of them are extremely passionate, feel free to take a look at a few of them Vanity Fair found here on their website.

Paula Deen has lost a lot of accreditation because of this whole situation. She was dropped by QVC, Wal-Mart, as well as several other places. What do you all think of the whole situation? Is what happened to Deen justified here? Or do you think she deserves a break? Let us know in the comments below!
