Master P Verizon RUMORS: Rapper to Ink Jay-Z/Samsung Style Deal With Popular Mobile Company?

Jay-Z's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail has garnered as much press for its unconventional release methods as it has for being a new release from a GOAT candidate. The Jay-Z/Samsung deal even made the cover of Billboard. Now, New Orleans rapper and still impossibly rich No Limit magnate Master P is looking for a similar venture with Verizon.

Via an interview with MTV:

To be honest with you, I think it's genius to partner up with a technology company. I'm working on [my album] right now and hopefully Verizon will call me real soon. My next record... I'll drop it through them and do it at a football game or something.

So far, Jay-Z has been making the app worthwhile for fans by dropping lyrics sheet after lyrics sheet and even releasing the tracklist via scavenger hunt. No word in how interested fans would be over a lyrics sheet from the man who wrote "Make 'Em Say Ugh" but if anyone can make it happen, it's probably Master P.
