18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe, who was shot to death nearly two weeks ago, was laid to rest on Saturday. The Inquisitr reports that the teenage rapper's funeral was overflowing with family, friends, and fans. The funeral took place at the Jonesboro-Hodge High School auditorium, with hundreds of people reportedly showing up early to mourn the death of Adderran Ross. The Dream Chasers artist and Meek Mill protégé was allegedly gunned down by 36-year-old Tony D. Holden. Holden turned himself in to authorities earlier this week after he was named the main lead suspect in Snupe's murder.
According to MTV News, Holden turned himself in this past week and is being charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No bond has been set at this time. Holden was the lead suspect in Snupe's murder after an alleged altercation at a friend's apartment led to Snupe being shot.
The teenage Louisiana rapper was considered by many to be a bright up and coming rapper. Snupe handed over his mix tape to rapper Meek Mill following the rappers tour stop at Grambling State University. Snupe told MTV News about the meeting, "He was in a van, they was finna pull off. And I went and knocked on the van, on the window. They let the window down, grabbed the mixtape and it was like 10 minutes later, 20 minutes later they called me."
The Shreveport Times reports that rapper Meek Mill was clearly upset at Snupe's funeral. "I'm never one to talk (at funerals)," Mill said. "I saw something in him. His demo tape spoke to me. I saw myself in him."
