'Entertainment Weekly' Top 100 Albums Of All Time List: See Magazine's Strange & Awesome Picks [FULL LIST]

Entertainment Weekly isn't exactly known as a firebrand. Their interviews tend to be non-confrontational, their reviews easy-to-digest (and easy on the films). Apparently, no one told this to the magazine's "Top 100 Albums of All Time" list. The list is full of unconventional choices and a strange/awesome order.

A few highlights include:

The inclusion of  music made in the last 15 years: Queens Of The Stone Age-Songs for The Deaf, LCD Soundsystem- Sound Of Silver, Outkast- Stankonia, Beyonce- B'Day among others.

Rap, period (the genre is often neglected in GOAT lists): Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, N.W.A., Beastie Boys,  Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan,Biggie and Kanye West all make appearances.

Indie Rock representin': Elliot Smith, Tom Waits, Sleater-Kinney, Pixies,Pavement, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, The Replacements, The Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire all made the cut.

Daft Punk, Yeezy, Adele, Joni Mitchell and Prince in the top 25.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in the Top 10.

Purple Rain at number 2!!!
