James Otto is a country singer who's single, "Just Got Started Loving You," has people singing in their cars all over the country. The singer is a father and a darn good one. Right now he is dealing with a phase in his child's life where they are curious about everything and it seems to be just about driving Mr. Otto bananas. He sent this tweet regarding the situation.
Dear lord help me. We are neck deep in the "Why?" stage with my 3 year old. Why? Why? Why? Because I said so doesn't seem to cut it.
James Otto has been on the country scene for a view years now. One of his songs, "Soldiers and Jesus," was just played during memorial day as part of a ceremony in Minnesota. He is a successful man, and when it comes to parenting, it seems as though the country star is keeping his sights on the silver lining. He sent this tweet after he sent the first one.
I'm just thankful it's not "Are we there yet".
Are we there yet is one of the oldest situations sitcoms use to depict an annoying child. The best part about it, however is that no matter how old the reference gets this will always be true. It was true of my grandparents when they went on car rides with my great grandparents, it was true of me and my parents, and I am sure it will be true of my fiancé and I when we are parents. The point here is that Mr. Otto made a great point, at least they are not saying, "Are we there yet?"
