Former Wu-Tang Clan member U-God will drop a new album, Keynote Speaker, on July 23 but Rolling Stone has a preview of one track that features two other Wu-Tang rappers.
The single, entitled "Golden Arms," features Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. To add more Wu-Tang to the mix, Keynote Speaker will be released on RZA's Soul Temple record label.
The title of the song comes from U-God's alias of the same name.
The hook on 'Golden Arms' tells the whole story. It's about maintaining the fort," U-God said to Rolling Stone. "There comes a time when you need to reflect on your life, and in doing so, it gives you a firm grip on your present and your future. When I rap on 'Golden Arms,' I'm doing just that, maintaining the legacy of Wu-Tang through new classic music."
Wu-Tang Clan members are all over this album, which contains 15 tracks. Method Man, Inspectah Deck and GZA all make appearances, as do Kool Keith, Styles P and Elzhi from Slum Village.
Wu-Tang Clan has several concerts upcoming, mostly at festivals. The schedule of shows is available here.
