A blockbuster NHL trade was announced on the Fourth of July that has shocked many fans. The Boston Bruins traded Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley, and Ryan Button to the Dallas Stars for Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith, and Matt Fraser according to CBS Sports. Seguin is only 21-years-old and full of potential. The young center is about to begin a new six year, $34.5 million contract, but the Bruins apparently needed to shed some salary. As expected, Bruins and Stars fans took to Twitter, voicing their reaction to the blockbuster deal.

A trade of Seguin was rumored recently, but still it comes as a surprise to many. Earlier this week, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli voiced concern over Seguin's lack of professionalism. "He's got to commit his mind and focus to the one task at hand," Chiarelli said, according to Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe. "He's got to become more of a professional. You know what? I can say that about a lot of 21-year-olds. I know he got criticized for playing on the periphery and all that stuff. He did. He's got to commit to being a professional and focusing on the game. Simple as that. He does that, we don't expect him to be crashing and banging. Just play your game."

Seguin tweeted out thanks to the Boston fans after the trade announcement was made. "I want to thank the fans of Boston for all your support you have been great. The city of Boston will forever be a part of me. #BostonStrong"

In a conference call following the trade, Seguin commented on reports of some of his extracurricular activities and his former GM's comments about his professionalism. "I come to the rink every day, and I see myself as a professional and work my hardest," Seguin said via the Boston Globe. "The first three years of my career has been a big learning curve. I look forward to getting better every day. I'm definitely more motivated coming into a great city like Dallas."

There is no denying Seguin's immense talent, but the Stars area also hoping that he has overcome the "learning curve" and can take over as a leader in Dallas.
