It's always good to land a gig as a background dancer on a major arena tour, because at least that's a paycheck. It's much, much better to land a gig as a background dancer on Taylor Swift's "Red Tour" because that means you'll also get free ice cream.

The country star's entourage enjoyed a fun holiday for the 4th of July, all on the singer's tab. Swift recently bought a $17 million mansion in Westerly, R.I., and the performer graciously offered 30 of her dancing friends a place to stay during the holiday while on break from the tour. On Wednesday, the day before the holiday, Swift and company headed across the border to Mystic, Conn., where the songstress treated them to dinner at the S&P Oyster Company, and then aforementioned ice cream cones at the Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream Store.

It's not the first time Swift has made headlines for getting some ice cream at Mystic Drawbridge. Last month Swift brought pal Selena Gomez to the shop to enjoy a cone of her own.

Naturally, not all the residents of Mystic are thrilled that it's the new hangout for Swift, Gomez and the thousands of screaming fans that come with them. Some have argued that Swift's security team is a little too serious about its job, apparently making life difficult for a group of volunteers who were working to clean a local beach.

But then again, the security team has its hands full keeping Swift's rabid fans away from her and her new home. One fan was arrested trying to swim from the ocean onto her property before being booked for trespassing. A series of humorous signs have popped up, quoting Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble:" "I knew you were trouble when you walked in. NO TRESPASSING."
