Justin Bieber 'Heartbreaker:' Finishing Touches Being Put on New Single 2013, 'Baby' Singer Continues to Tease Beliebers on Twitter

Beliebers who were expecting Justin Bieber's new song 2013 "Heartbreaker" to be released soon may still have to wait a while longer. Today (July 8), the "Baby" singer revealed that he was in the studio finishing up his upcoming single. "studio with #heartbreaker today. finishing touches," he tweeted to his 41.5 million followers shortly after 2 p.m.

Of course, it wouldn't be a day with "Heartbreaker" news without Bieber teasing his fans. "u guys want #heartbreaker? #musicjournals," he wrote.

#heartbreaker then quickly rose to one of the most-discussed topics in the country, trending on Twitter after the Biebz's announcement. Beliebers, of course, are simultaneously frustrated and excited about the upcoming single. Though the fanbase is excited about a new song, the constant teasing from Bieber and his camp has become tiring.

It's unknown what stage "Heartbreaker" is in, though the song is likely near completion. Late last week, Bieber announced that the single will drop "suddenly," and Instagrammed a photo of himself and on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez with the caption "#heartbreaker."

The teasing via social media plays in to what Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun have revealed about the single to-date, particularly in regards to its release. "We're gonna [sic] do it in a way that's unique, so when you see 'Heartbreaker,' know it's coming directly from him and don't think of the normal, 'Oh this is my single and this is going to be on the album.' Realize there's going to be a very unique way of how this music is going to be released unlike we've seen before from him," Braun said.

Braun also revealed the single would feature personal lyrics straight from Bieber himself. Rumors that the song is addressed to Gomez only increased last week with the Instagram photo.
