On Monday (July 8), an unauthorized (and apparently unfinished) music video for Kanye West's new hit single "Black Skinhead" leaked online. But it's not the REAL version. Yeezy recently made fans aware of that fact on Twitter. The "Yeezus" rapper claims that he and photographer Nick Knight have been working thier butts off on this video for months... and it's "heartbreaking" that someone would go behind their backs like that. And just for good measure, West tweeted a big "fuk you" to however leaked the unofficial version of "Black Skinhead." The real clip should be ready to premiere sometime by next week.
Here's the (fake) leaked version of Yeezy's lead track off of "Yeezus." West insists this is NOT the official music video for "Black Skinhead" -
Pretty cool, but it's not the official music video.
On Tuesday (July 9), West sent out these heated tweets:
@kanyewest: "The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version."
@kanyewest: "Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens."
@kanyewest: "The final version will be ready within the next week... So any website that may have the unapproved / unfinished ruff. I ask you to please take it down."
@kanyewest: "Allow me and Nick to give the world what we've been losing sleep over."
@kanyewest: "And to who ever leaked the video... FUK YOU!"
Is Yeezy just trying to throw fans off?
