Not many details are known about the eventual nuptials of Miami Heat forward Lebron James, and that seems to be the plan. A little bit of intrigue was thrown into the mix when TMZ discovered details about the wedding invitation, but even those details were laced with mystery.
The site got a hold of an invitation and have determined that the event will take place during the weekend of September 13-15, and the event will happen in the San Diego area. A "welcome barbecue" will be held Friday night, as well as a "farewell brunch" Sunday morning. Essential information such as locations aren't included as part of the invite. Instead, the guests are instructed to call a phone number where, assuming they're actually an invitee and not a gossip reporter, they'll be given further instructions. Actually sounds like a lot of fun for the guests.
Apparently James is not the planner behind the event however. He said that his involvement in the planning process ended after he proposed.
"I'm involved enough to where everything's going to go right," James said. "The most important person is Savannah. She's happy, then I'm happy. That's all that matters. I don't really care about nothing else. I don't really care about nobody else there on that day besides her."
James rarely gets credit for being a swell guy to the lady in his life. Fiancee Savannah Brinson was his high-school sweetheart and is the mother to his two children, and the pair have been together for all the time in between. He proposed in 2011. He admits that he may have had to cancel the wedding if the Heat's NBA Championship fell through against the San Antonio Spurs.
"It will be an unbelievable wedding now that we've won instead of losing," he said. "I might have called it off if we had lost. So now it's going to be one of the best weddings ever."
