With reported due dates coming and going for almost a week now, it seems like nobody has any idea when the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth to her first child with husband Prince William. Many believed the new heir to the throne would have arrived over the weekend, but that did not happen. Plus William and his brother, Prince Harry, were far away playing polo and Kate's sister, Pippa, was in Vienna at a wedding, so it was pretty obvious that these important people wouldn't have been away if the due date was this weekend. So how long will this "Royal Baby Watch" continue?
For quite some time, sources have been saying that Kate's due date would be July 13, but the palace never confirmed this date. In fact, the official statement read: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July."
So, again, the due date has yet to be confirmed. But maybe a close family member might have some insight?
The Duchess of Cornwall, William's stepmother Camilla, recently revealed her anxiousness to meet the new heir to the throne.
"We don't know what's going to happen," Camilla said during a visit to a children's hospice this week. "We're all waiting at the end of a telephone. I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there."
However, Kate's mother, Carole, reportedly revealed the actual due to date to some friends. Take this news with a grain of salt, of course, but according to some insiders, Kate and Will's first child will be born a Leo. In fact, July 23 is the new rumored delivery date for Kate Middleton.
If this date is actually correct, it makes plenty of sense, especially with William, Harry and Pippa away this past weekend. Plus, Kate had travelled to her parents' home in Bucklebury to escape the heat, which means she wasn't worried about being too close to St. Mary's hospital.
Now she has plenty of time to rest and eventually go to the hospital when she needs.
Do you think that July 23 is the actual royal due date?
