Months before British Columbia coroner said 'Glee' actor Cory Monteith died from an overdose of heroin and alcohol, the actor's girlfriend, Lea Michele allegedly staged an intervention for the late actor.
The untimely death of the GLEE star happened over the weekend in his Vancouver, Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel room. The 31-year-old was found dead after he missed his checkout time.
According to US Weekly magazine, after the actor relapsed after rehab Michele asked GLEE creator, Ryan Murphy to stage an intervention and told her boyfriend, "She told Cory, 'Clean up or I'm out of here," a close source said.
Allegedly, Cory's final resting place will be in L.A., "The plan is to move the body back to L.A. and bury him there," according to the magazine.
The devastated girlfriend's rep had released a statement on her behalf saying, "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time."
Fox and 20th Century Fox released a statement for the GLEE Executive Producers, "We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."
