In getting caught up with the on-again, off-again relationship between pop stars Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, it's hard to remember that the two young singers are really just a couple of teenagers in love, suffering the heartbreak and growth that comes with early relationships.

"Come & Get It" singer Gomez reminded the public of that, in a clip of an upcoming E! interview with TV/radio host Ryan Seacrest. In a surprisingly candid moment, Gomez opened up about the struggles of going through a breakup when the whole world knows about your personal life and paparazzi are trying to catch you in a vulnerable moment to make money.

"I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me, like, being way stressed out about it. And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just want to sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?" she asked Seacrest.

According to E!, Bieber and Gomez broke off their relationship in November 2012 due to their busy schedules. However, the couple has been seen around town together since, most recently over the Fourth of July weekend.

Despite their superstardom, both Gomez and Bieber have kept the current relationship of their status under wraps. It is reported that the duo are just friends.

However, the two are speaking to each other and to the public through song. The final track on Selena Gomez's upcoming debut solo album Stars Dance, "Love Will Remember," features a voicemail from Bieber where he confesses his love to her. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber has been teasing his new single 2013 "Heartbreaker," which is reportedly about his ex.

Selena Gomez's full interview with Ryan Seacrest is in support of Stars Dance and will air on Sunday at 10 p.m. on E!. After leaking earlier this week, the new album is available for streaming in full on iTunes.
