Season one of NBC's critically acclaimed thriller "Hannibal" ended on a cliffhanger, making viewers wonder what will happen to Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in the next season two. Ending up in a mental institution for a series of murders that we all know that Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) committed, the protagonist's future is in jeopardy. Luckily we have events like Comic Con 2013 in San Diego where big shows reveal new information. Now we know a few details about season 2! (SPOILERS to follow)

Dancy joined executive producers Bryan Fuller, series director David Slade, and producer Martha De Laurentiis on stage for the panel. Star Mad Mikklesen was not present at the panel but that doesn't mean the rest of the panelists didn't talk about him.

"He screen tested because he was not so well known," said De Laurentiis of the Danish actor. "But I think he really owns the role now."

Fuller described Mikkelsen's take on the iconic character of Hannibal Lecter. "It was about finding an actor who had a specific take on the character," Fuller explained. "He said he didn't want to play Anthony Hopkins or Brian Cox. He wanted to play Satan."

Despite that being an incredible quote from Fuller about Mikkelsen, the panel had more interesting news come from it as well.

According to Fuller, the first two episodes of season two will be more of a reintroduction of the show's characters in their respective new environments. He also said that the third episode would feature a trial.

"We have the season arc crafted, and it's a doozy," Fuller said to a packed ballroom. "We just finished breaking Episode 3, and we are breaking Episode 4 now."

"Will knows something no one else knows, and it's a great place to put a character," Fuller said. "One of the things I was most excited about in Season 2 was seeing Will Graham hit rock bottom."
