'Man of Steel' is grossing huge box office numbers this summer which of course is sparking rumors about a 'Man of Steel 2' sequel. While it seems obvious that Henry Cavill will be back as Superman in a 'Man of Steel' sequel, the possibility of Batman joining or facing Superman in a blockbuster super hero movie has comic book fans salivating. The latest news and rumors comes from where else, Comic Con 2013 in San Diego. Could there be a Superman and Batman blockbuster movie coming? According to recent rumors, there is a chance two of the biggest DC comic book heroes could be in the same movie.

According to the LA Times, later today (Saturday, July 21) at a Comic Con 2013 panel, Warner Bros. will announce that a Superman and Batman movie will follow "Man of Steel 2." LA Times reports that Henry Cavill, "Man of Steel" director Zach Snyder, and writer David Goyer will reunite for the film. However, "Dark Knight's" Batman Christian Bale is unlikely to play Batman. There is no word on who would play Batman in the movie, but Joseph-Gordon Levitt was rumored in the past.

Yahoo! Movies reports that the Superman, Batman blockbuster will be released in 2015. The website also reports that Warner Bros. is also planning on releasing The Flash in 2016, followed up by a Justice League movie in 2017.

But what about a "Man of Steel" sequel and rumors of Lex Luthor being the main villain? The Stabley Times reports that a couple "Man of Steel" sequels have been green lit and it's likely that Lex Luthor will at least show up in one of them.
