Guardians of the Galaxy was definitely one of the biggest draws in terms of panels for 2013's San Diego Comic Con. The marvel movie has been drawing a lot of buzz with each new casting and character addition, but this weekend the film's panel at the popular event definitely had at least one revealing moment. Actress Karen Gillan, best known for playing Amy Pond on BBC's "Doctor Who," has shaved her head for her portrayal of Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Scottish model, know for her long red locks, debuted her new look during the Guardians of the Galaxy panel at Comic Con this weekend after an audience member asked about Nebula's baldness. Check out this set of GIFs showing the big reveal of Karen's shaved head:

"It's liberating. I think everyone here should shave their heads," Karen shared on the panel.

The movie also stars Chris Pratt, Michael Rooker, Benico Del Toro and Zoe Saldana. Guardians of the Galaxy opens in theaters on August 1, 2014.

Director James Gunn also talked about one of the other anticipated characters from the film, Rocket Raccoon:

"You say, 'Oh, there's a talking raccoon. How does that exist?' You really take it backwards from there and say, 'How would that exist?' It's not about creating Bugs Bunny in the middle of the Avengers," Gunn said. "This is about creating a character that's a little animal that was taken and experimented on and pulled apart and put back together again and implanted with cybernetics. He's half machine and half raccoon, and he's a little gnarled, miserable, pretty angry creature because there's nothing else like him. It's not easy to be."
