After getting some help from her famous friends Katy Perry, Taio Cruz, Carly Rae Jepsen and more, songwriter and aspiring pop star Bonnie McKee has released a new version of the "American Girl" music video.
This time, the sizzling summer song has a clip that closely matches the song's lyrics.
McKee and her friends sit in a 7/11 parking lot, sipping Slurpees and gazing at passing boys. The trio then stock up on treats and walk down the street in the shortest shorts in the history of the world. Scenes of a sleepover and cheesy choreographed dances and a sexy pool party follow.
The video takes a turn when McKee and co. spot a shirtless man fixing a car. The three American girls highjack the convertible, shop at the mall, play in an arcade and wind up at a wild party before right before the car explodes.
What it lacks in celebrities, the new "American Girl" video makes up in skin. Crop tops, underwear and cut-offs are abundant. Not only does McKee know how to write a No. 1 song, the songstress also knows how to get attention.

"American Girl" is the first single off McKee's upcoming second album. The songwriter is re-launching her singing career after writing music for the past several years. Her credits include Katy Perry's "Part of Me," "Teenage Dream" and "California Gurls," as well as Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" and Ke$ha's "C'Mon."
