It seems as though the downward spiral of troubled actress Amanda Bynes is continuing. According to TMZ, the notorious Twitter user is being held for mental evaluation in California.

The Easy A actress left the Ritz-Carlton in New York City on July 19 and went to her hometown of Thousand Oaks, California. According to US Weekly, the starlet tried entering a closer retirement community but was denied access because she was drunk.

Later, Bynes was seen setting a small fire in an elderly woman's driveway. When police interfered and questioned Bynes about her behavior, they deemed her behavior odd enough to take her in for an involuntary mental evaluation, also known as a 5150.

Bynes joins the likes of Britney Spears, who was held on a 5150 during her mental breakdown in 2008.

Bynes has been raising eyebrows for months regarding her bizarre behavior. From Twitter rants about the ugliness (and gorgeousness) of rapper Drake to her penchant for plastic surgery to her dancing on the streets and in restaurants, the former Nickeoldeon star seems to be on a downward spiral.

Her last tweets, sent on July 19 (the same day she was kicked out of the NYC Ritz-Carlton) were the same: a tweet about how gorgeous Drake is and a retweet about how famous she is.

Surely, when Bynes gets out of the hospital, she'll have something to say on the social media site.

Bynes has a pending lawsuit against her, as well. Last month, she was seen throwing a bong out of her window. The misdemeanor is set for an Aug. 22 court date.
