TLC New Album 2013: Who Will Take The Place of Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes? [WATCH VIDEO]

R&B group TLC made a grand announcement Thursday in New York City that the performers were back in music. This leaves them open for a lot of questions, considering that the group's main attraction Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes died in 2002. The press conference came with a three-part plot however, covering all the bases.

The first and most relevant part of the statement was that TLC had signed with Epic records and was looking to do new music. Don't get too excited just yet; remaining members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas aren't releasing a whole new LP yet. The first release will be a greatest hits compilation in October, but the collection will include a few new songs, written by Ne-Yo and Lady Gaga among others. Guest performances from Drake and J. Cole are expected for the new material. Who will step in for Lopes if a new LP comes around is yet to be seen, but a hint comes along later in the press conference.

The second bit of news was the first release of clips from VH1's original movie "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story." The clips features recreations of the music videos "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs" featuring actresses KeKe Palmer (Thomas), Drew Sidora (Watkins) and Lil Mama (Lopes). Which brings us to announcement no. 3.

Lil Mama will be performing with the group in the place of Lopes when TLC performs at the Mixtape Festival in Hersheypark, PA. The original members hinted that they had "more surprises" in store for fans, and claimed that Lil Mama was not a permanent member of the group at this point. Is this the truth? Could a hologram Lopes be a possibility?
