Smack Cam is a new trend that has gone viral on Twitter's Vine app that has a lot of people worried. #SmackCam involves people smacking other people in the face and catching the victim's reaction on video. The videos are then posted on Twitter using the Vine app. The trend has gone viral and while some of the videos seem like harmless pranks between friends, others seem alarmingly dangerous. Some people will smack the victim on the face with their bare hand, while others will put a substance in their hand so when they smack the person, the substance is all over the person's face.

Maybe the most alarming Smack Cam videos are those of males smacking females in the face. The below Vine video is pretty alarming. Two guys smack a female in the face, causing the female to cry. Watch below.

There is another #SmackCam Vine video that is referenced by various websites where a girl is apparently hit with a jug in the head. However, it looks like the video has been taken down. Below is another Smack Cam Vine video titled, "Smack Cam Fail." However, as you can see in the video below, the victim's head catches on fire. Obviously this trend has gone too far.

The viral trend reportedly began with a few friends having fun with one another. According to Complex.com, Max Jr. and Jerry Purpdrank started the trend. You can see their YouTube video below of a compilation of Smack Cam's. However, their version is done between guys and never seems to go too far. You can argue what they were doing is just grown men playing around. However, this trend seems to have gotten out of control. Do you think this Smack Cam trend is bullying?
