50-year-old Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp is continuing to hint at his retirement from acting. Over the weekend, the Lone Ranger star stopped by "BBC Breakfast" and gave some more detail to his previous statement made in Rolling Stone magazine.

In June, Depp expressed said to the magazine that a life outside of acting is something he yearns for. He complained of the "life of a fugitive" that stardom demands. "I can't say that I'd want to be doing this for another 10 years," he said.

"Are there quieter things I wouldn't mind doing? Yeah, I wouldn't mind that," he told the BBC's Susanna Reid. "I wouldn't say I am dropping out any second but I would say it's probably not too far away."

Though he has been bringing up retirement recently, the actor is pretty busy. He is set to film sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean as well as Alice in Wonderland and has signed on for Transcendence, Mordecai, and Into the Woods.

Perhaps this busy schedule is why the actor expressed his exhaustion at the life of an actor. He said he relates to his late friend Marlon Brando, echoing his feelings:

"When you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, and you realize you've said written words more than you've actually had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking of that as an insane option for a human being."

Other actors who have mentioned retirement include Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum and Leonardo DiCaprio. So if Depp and the rest of these A-listers do call it quits, where will that leave Hollywood?
