Just last week, DJ Khaled's MTV marriage proposal to Nicki Minaj went viral. The "Suffering from Success" rapper insists that his feelings for the "American Idol" diva are indeed pure... but does Minaj feel the same away? If fans believe the seedy restraining order rumors, then apparently such affections AREN'T mutual! But the sexy "High School" songstress did just post an Instagram photo dedicated to "love" over the weekend... so will Minaj actually consider giving Khaled a chance? Read on for more details!
For some more "background" info on Khaled's proposal and newfound Nicki infatuation... as Mstars previously reported:
On Thursday (July 25), Nicki Minaj's YMCMB label-mate DJ Khaled professed his undying love for the "Monster" songstress on MTV News. The two rappers aren't even dating, but Khaled appears totally serious about the proposal... even flashing a $500,000 diamond engagement ring. The infamous record producer poured his heart out to the twerk beauty, exclaiming, "Nicki Minaj, I'm at MTV, I'm going to be honest with you - I love you. I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine." Do fans think Minaj will accept the marriage proposal? Or is the entire thing a huge publicity stunt, considering Khaled's new album "Suffering from Success" is due out sometime later this year?
In the middle of an interview with MTV News, DJ Khaled took the time to propose marriage to Minaj:
"We got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success... [If] you gotta take your time and think about it, I understand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me... Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?"
He then pulled out a 10 karat-radiant cut diamond ring in the video (valued at about $500,000, according to MTV).

Still... the shocking proposal's probably a prank. In his little "I love you" speech, Khaled mentions both rappers "suffer from success"... duh, the name of his new 2013 album!
But who knows... Khaled seems VERY serious... and fellow rappers including Rick Ross swear that he's NOT kidding!
Following the proposal (which Minaj has yet to respond to) Khaled posted on Instagram:

I spend a lot of time at the strip clubs and throw a lot of money at strippers and exotic dancers (oh baby baby...), but it is time I settle down and marry a wife. I love Nicki with all my heart...@NickiMinaj I hope you say yes... #SayYesNicki I am a genius and a winner, will you be my permanent stripper?"

therealdjkhaled: "New music... The song is called #Nicki... From my upcoming album #SufferingFromSuccess... I am stepping outside of the box for this one, as this is the first song that I rap the complete way through, with no help from other artists... 3 verses & hook all done by me... Produced by me... I worked hard to make this the best record of my career... It means so much to me, therefore I name it after the one I love... Official artwork."
Maybe a little too obsessive? Apparently DJ Khaled's efforts are even freaking Minaj out.
According to MediaTakeOut.com, the "High School" songstress is already engaged to longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels, and Khaled's proposal was just downright creepy.
She allegedly filed a restraining order against Khaled for recently stalking her in NYC... which would explain why she hasn't responded with "I Do" yet. Do fans believe Minaj would go through such extremes to keep her "Take it to the Head" collaborator FAR away?
Well, maybe not...
Hollywood Life recently got in-touch with sources from the NYPD - they claim that there's been no arrests and that Minaj hasn't filed any complaints against Khaled. For a restraining order to be filed, an arrest must first be carried out.
DJ Khaled also addressed the restraining order rumors on Twitter and Instagram:
@djkhaled: "Y'all know better than that they don't put restraining orders on bosses I'm the DON U witnessing greatness I'm the best that ever did it! JUS KNOW! #sufferingfromsuccess."
Honestly, Khaled's going a little too crazy with his love for Nicki on Instagram... it's getting sort of ridiculous.
But how about this suggestive photo/message recently posted by the "Super Bass" beauty?
nickiminaj: "It's all u need."
So... what's up with that? Does Minaj have "love" for DJ Khaled? Probably. Is it enough for marriage... fans will just have to wait and see...
