You might still be bitter about not being able to see the "Doctor Who" 50th anniversary special that was shown at Comic Con 2013 in San Diego last week, but Matt Smith feels it's a good thing the footage is not online yet. Don't worry, though; he is "sorry" you haven't seen it yet.
So the panel crowd at Comic Con was extremely lucky, it seems. According to the BBC: "This was an exclusive Comic Con trailer made especially for the Doctor Who 50th panel."
The network also said, "UK fans can look forward to exclusive content over the next few months," so it might work out in a way.
The departing Doctor recently stopped by "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" to discuss his career and future aspects. Ferguson, a huge "Doctor Who" fan and panel host at Comic Con this year, explained to Smith that fans who weren't at the San Diego event were pretty made about the trailer not being online. Smith then apologized.
He also got to talk about his life after "Doctor Who," saying he hopes to keep working and wants to move to the States! Check out the full interview right here:
So we all didn't get to see the trailer, but thankfully the actual special, airing November 23, will be broadcast simultaneously worldwide for everyone.
This simulcast is a way to avoid spoilers.
"It's always been our ambition to work with our broadcast partners so that international 'Doctor Who' fans can enjoy the 50th Anniversary special at the same time as the UK. We'll have more details soon about our very exciting global plans for November," BBC Worldwide said in a statement.
