Nile Rodgers Cancer-Free: Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' Collaborator Announces Good News Via Twitter

Legendary guitarist/producer and recent Daft Punk collaborator Nile Rodgers just announced via Twitter that he is cancer-free after battling prostate cancer since 2010. Doctors succesfully removed tumors from the "Get Lucky" co-star's prostate and he spread the word via social media.

The Chic guitarist and hit-maker said that the success of his collaboration with Daft Punk helped to get him through his battle with cancer.

This particular experience rates very high, because two years ago I was stricken with cancer just right out of the clear blue sky ... From that moment I decided I was going to work as much as I could, play as many concerts, do as many records, because that's what I live for."
