People looking for X-rated images of Prince William were rewarded on Thursday morning when the BBC inadvertently ran an image of the royal couple with William's genitals showing. That is to say, the genitals that someone had hastily doodled protruding from his forehead.
Barbershopera, a musical theater group, appeared as guests on the program "BBC Breakfast," which aired a music video for the organization's humorous song "I Could Have Married Kate," referencing William's wife Kate Middleton. The photo is a copy of the official engagement image released by the royal family, and it features the new addition to William's forehead, along with a comical mustache, goatee, missing teeth and glasses. The image is slipped under a newspaper during the video, which apparently led editors for the network to miss it before airing.
"We failed to spot the offending material within it," the BBC said in a simple statement.
No official reaction has been given from the royal family, but William seems like a good-natured bloke and he'll probably take it in stride. It's nicer than the things Morrissey says about him, at least.
The prince is scheduled to make his first public appearance following the birth of his son George when he attends the Anglesey Show in Wales. It will probably provoke throngs of media to attend thanks to the birth of his son, the biggest paparazzi event yet this year. His first appearance will be a popular event even if he has all of his clothes on. Anglesey is the largest agricultural festival in Wales.
