Sony Entertainment has revealed their next MMORPG, EverQuest Next and it looks very impressive. A Beta sign up was created for the game this week with a release date expected to be for some time in 2014, according to The Epoch Times. This game has gamers very excited and rightfully so based on videos and photos of the new game.

"Today, many MMOs fail because players consume content faster than developers can create it," SOE president John Smedley told CinemaBlend.com.  "With EverQuest Next, we're creating a living world that players are part of and empowering them to produce new content alongside the development team. What does the future hold forEverQuest Next and Sony Online Entertainment? It's in the players' hands, and we like it that way."

According to Cinemablend.com, gamers will have the ability to mix and match abilities from over 40 different classes to build their characters. Gamers will also be able to shape their world as Norrath will be fully destructible. The gameplay changes along with the character's actions.

Sony Online Entertainment Director of Design David Georgeson talked with IGN and said EverQuest Next will be completely original. "What we need to deliver with EverQuest Next is something really original, so what we did was tear it down to the bedrock," Georgeson said. "We pick what we liked, what we didn't like, and we came up with a list of holy grails that we as designers had always wanted to do, but never had the time or the intestinal fortitude to try before."
