Have you ever thought of your favorite punk rock acts from the start of the genre and try to cast them in your mind? Well stop because a new film focusing on the iconic New York City punk rock venue of the same name, CBGB, has done it for you. Harry Potter's Rupert Grint is Cheetah Chrome of The Dead Boys, Malin Ackerman is Debbie Harry of Blondie and so many more recognizable faces can be spotted in this fist look at the film. It might be more fun to try to figure out what bands are being represented, but the film is focusing mainly on the venue's story.
Besides Ackerman and Grint, the film also features Alan Rickman, Ashley Greene, Freddy Rodriguez, Donal Logue, Stana Katic, Joel David Moore, Ryan Hurst, Johnny Galecki, Ahna O'Reilly, Richard de Klerk, Mickey Sumner, Taylor Hawkins, Bradley Whitford and many more.

Here is the synopsis for CBGB:
CBGB follows the story of Hilly Kristal's New York club from its origins as Country, Bluegrass and Blues (CBGB) to what it ultimately became: the birthplace of underground rock 'n roll and punk. Kristal, a fan of Country and Bluegrass dreamed of having a club in the lower Eastside that catered to that kind of music, when he had difficulty booking those bands he turned to other kinds of rock music. Hilly had one demand of the acts he booked, they could only play their own original music. No top 40's, no covers. It was the credo he lived by, support the artist at whatever the cost.
