Ransom has responded to Nick Minaj going Scorched Earth over accusations of ghostwriting. Though he feels that Minaj was "disrespectful" in her comments about the rapper, he wanted to clarify that he was not accusing the femcee of using ghostwriters in his song "Man Alone" when he said "Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big."
When asked to explain, Ransom said "She would call me to get on her songs."
"Never once did I not pick up the phone," he said, looking visibly hurt, "and now...this."
"[The ghostwriting interpretation] was stupid," he added. " I didn't mean that...I never wrote no songs for her."
"I don't need no motherf**kin' ghostwriter," Minaj said yesterday when confronted with the accusations by TMZ . "If you're telling that lie, you must be real f**kin' desperate, and you still ain't gonna pop."
Ransom claimed that he couldn't get through the above video where Minaj claimed Ransom had her "d*ck in his mouth" but he isn't beefing with Minaj, opting for a gentlemanly outlook.
"She's a woman. I ain't got no beef. For me to hate a woman? That would make me less of a man," said Ransom.
He dodged the question of whether the two rappers could work together in the future by simply saying "She don't need my help."
