With the second half of season 5 fast approaching, Breaking Bad fans are justifiably hyperventilating over what will become of Walter White when Vince Gilligan brings his critically lauded show to a close. Looking to add a dash of levity to the proceedings, French artist Mike Wrobel (of '90s Game Of Thrones' fame) has put a muppet-heavy spin on everyones favorite cancer-ridden meth kingpin.
The image features Walter White in full on lab gear and Gonzo/ Gus Fring and several junkies played by Sam The Eagle, Grover and, of course, Cookie Monster look on.
(I'm just going to leave this here...)
The reason for the choices should be obvious to any color theory obsessing fan of the show, they are all the blue muppets, the same color as Heisenberg's famous product.
"The strength of a show like Breaking Bad is the fact that it's easily and quickly [recognized]. It has everything it needs to become a cult [classic] and a part of pop culture history: a unique atmosphere, some very charismatic characters, memorable dialogues, insane situations, questionable morals ... Walter White has become an iconic character. I am so inspired [by the show], and just wanted to contribute, like many other fans, to make this show live beyond its airing time," Wrobel told Wired.
Below, I've included some of Wrobel's now-famous era-shifted Game Of Thrones images.
